Asheville’s Grove Park Inn Utilizes Solar Water Heating
The Historic Grove Park Inn recently decided to install solar water heaters for its sports complex locker room in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, as covered by the Citizen Times. This green upgrade boasts 12 solar panels which produce around 600 gallons of hot water every day.
The project will allow them to simultaneously lock in low energy prices and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by seven tons per year (the equivalent to “planting 22 trees or taking three cars off the road").
They are currently looking to expand solar hot water heating arrays to the guest wings of the inn.
Gem State Solar is excited to offer solar water heater kits among its new EvenGreen Solar product line, which offer a great potential return on investment (ROI) of only two years!
